Shots fired at US military base in Texas, none hurt

An Air Force base in San Antonio was placed on lockdown for about an hour Wednesday after military officials said gunfire was reported near a base gate. Two gunshots were reported heard coming from outside Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland onto the base. No injuries were reported. The base, earlier, issued an ’active shooter warning’ and ordered all personnel to implement lockdown procedures.

So… uhh. Why did they need a lock down? Why not just pull out an M16 and show them what real fire is like. Lol.
