Guatemala’s halt of a caravan of more than 3,000 Honduran migrants heading for the US amid the Covid-19 pandemic shows that the Trump administration’s pressure on migrants continues to extend to South American countries. Earlier, Guatemala did little to stop US-bound migrants passing through it. Guatemala’s action followed similar action by Mexico on migrant caravans last October and in January.
“Refugees” traveling 1,000+ miles to the US? Yeah right 😂. If they were true refugees they would go to safe countries like Belize, Costa Rica, or Panama (all of which are better suited for them to assimilate in as well)
