European Commission President self-isolates after contact with virus case

European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen has said she has placed herself in isolation after being in contact with a person infected with COVID-19. Von der Leyen said she tested negative for the virus on Thursday and that she will undergo another test later Monday. Von der Leyen said she will be in quarantine until Tuesday morning.

To be fair, I know nothing of this woman. Which is what you want for a person representing 500,000,000 people and a large political, pseudo-state entity. I'm sure she was elected by secret ballot (to avoid democratic accountability to the plebs) and I'm sure there was but one name on that ballot, chosen behind closed doors. All I can say is she is doing the right thing and setting the expected standard of behaviour from the top. If this had been Barroso, we would have been in for some chaos, but alas.

At least there is one leader doing what is right even if they teated negative. Wish Trump would follow the guide lines like the rest of us have to.
