Castillo takes lead in Peru voting but OAS says fraud claims must be addressed

Despite Pedro Castillo’s slim lead over conservative rival Keiko Fujimori in Peru’s presidential election on Thursday, the Organization of American States says claims of election fraud must be resolved before proclaiming a presidential victor. Castillo, a political novice, has pledged to rewrite Peru’s constitution and redistribute wealth.

Congratulations to Peru’s new president. He has an uphill battle, but it seems his heart is in the right place, so hopefully he surrounds himself with people who can help him achieve their goals. If they can, it could really improve things in Peru for a lot of their citizens.
