Nobel prize in physics awarded to trio for cosmology discoveries
The 2020 Nobel Prize for physics has been awarded to Roger Penrose for black hole discovery and Reinhard Genzel and Andrea Ghez for discovering ’a supermassive compact object at the center of our galaxy’. The prize of approximately $1.12M will be half awarded to Penrose and the remainder will be shared by Genzel and Gehz. The chemistry, literature and peace prizes will be awarded later this week.
