A 75-year-old French aid worker held hostage for four years by Islamic extremists in Mali arrived in France on Friday. Sophie Petronin descended from the plane at the Villacoublay military airport southwest of Paris, where she was greeted by French President Macron. Petronin was released with three other hostages from Mali and Italy, after the Malian government released nearly 200 militants.
As a Frenchman, I'm glad she back with us. I'm just worried that we had to renforce the extremists by realising 200 psychopaths in the nature to get her and the three other hostages back.
