Analysts say stocks are rallying because fears of contested election are fading

Stocks are rising on Wall Street Friday on the back of the hope that the prolonged negotiations to deliver more aid to the ailing economy are still going on at the Capitol Hill, and more importantly, said analysts, because the polls point to a more decisive election outcome in November. The S&P 500 is up 2.9% this week, while the Dow Jones has advanced 2.7% over the same stretch, FactSet data show
