Trump, Trudeau discuss detained Canadians after China grants consular access
Canadian PM Trudeau and US President Trump discussed on the phone the issue of two Canadian citizens detained in China since 2018 and to whom China granted rare consular access on Friday and Saturday. Trudeau thanked Trump for the US’ support in ’seeking the immediate release of the two Canadian citizens arbitrarily detained by China’. The two Canadians include Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig.
