California Republicans accused of setting up fake ballot drop boxes
California Secy. of State Alex Padilla’s office has received complaints about what appear to be unauthorized ballot drop boxes in LA, Orange, and Fresno counties. The metal boxes, purporting to be ’official’, have been reported at local political party offices, churches, and HQ’s for GOP candidates. The California Republican Party did not comment. Padilla said this was a ’violation of state law’.
Just from reading the articles, I'm seeing the only issue is the word "official" on the box, and even that is just accusation from the opposition. Apparently, just handing your ballot to any random person to deposit for you is perfectly legal in CA. How would this perpetrate a fraud?

This is a non event. The Democrats already assured us election tampering isn't possible, even with mail in ballots.
Why are there drop-off boxes in the first place? Wasn't the entire argument for mail-in ballots the fact that you could MAIL THEM? If you don't think the one in front of your house is secure, they have big blue very secure ones at the local post office. You don't even have to leave your car to use one. Just toss it in and go back to your safe space. If that's not enough, you can do it in-person, as I will. I wouldn't mail cash, my vote is MORE valuable.
Fighting election fraud with election fraud I see. Still a bad idea. It's been working just documenting all the fraud that has occurred in the last month. It has been staggering and if we extrapolate it out at the rate of crime vs apprehension rate we see this is only the tip of the iceberg. For every case we hear about there is likely 10 more that we didn't. Election fraud is at a all time high this election with both sides worried the other is going to steal it away through nefarious means. When we start to lose confidence in the process this is what it looks like.

Of course this is wrong in every way, though as a Californian Republican myself I understand the desperation they have. Inland California is under basically tyranny by the major cities. Nothing for the whole state will ever be passed that is right leaning in any way.
So let me get this strait. A single mail box was marked as offical drop off location and it was not supposed to be marked as offical but is otherwise legal ?
Considering the fact that both parties are doing this, America's eyes should be open to the fact that both parties are hot garbage who only want power. But I have a feeling that the gang mentality of either parties supporters will take over instead.

So the news is not that it is happening or not happening... The news is that some people are claiming that it is happening... Actual investigative reporting will probably not improve the story at all... Just run it as is... it will be fine
