2,150 jobs cut by pub chain Marston’s due to COVID-19 restrictions

After the announcement of new COVID-19 restrictions by the UK government, pub chain Marston’s is set to make 2,150 workers redundant. The measures introduced by the government to tackle the surge in the COVID-19 cases have been blamed by the pub. The measures include a curfew at 10pm, and a three-tier lockdown system. The company also called for urgent help from the government to protect jobs.
