Pro-democracy demonstrations continued in Thailand for the second day running as thousands of protesters camped overnight outside the office of the prime minister to demand his resignation. This prompted Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha impose a ’severe’ state of emergency in the Bangkok area. Police used mild force to disperse the protesters from outside the PM’s office early morning.
