San Francisco may change ’inappropriate’ names of 44 city schools

The San Francisco School Names Advisory Committee has recommended renaming as many as 44 schools as officials believe some were named after those with potential connections to genocide, slavery, and colonization. However, some parents and principals have also questioned the need to devote energy and resources on the same at a time when many students are attending classes remotely amid the pandemic

San Francisco was "founded" by Spanish conquerors (not sure who they they conquered to get the land) and is named after Francis of Assisi, a white Italian Catholic. So a colonized history and named after a white guy--clearly the city name itself must be changed. That will fix everything.
