First-time gun sales in the US have shot up to record levels this year. An estimated 5M people bought firearms for the first time in the first seven months of 2020. First-time purchases skyrocketed to more than double the national average from past years. The FBI National Instant Criminal Background Check System said overall activity through Sept. is up 41% over the same period in 2019.

Another thing that is not mentioned in the headline is the diversity of new gun buyers, record numbers or Hispanic, Asian, and Black Americans are among the first time buyers. And also notice how Democrats very quickly dropped their messaging of gun control as a result!
