Belgium facing tsunami of Covid-19 infections, admits country’s health minister

Belgium health minister said that country is witnessing a ’tsunami’ of Covid-19 cases. The Bars & restaurants have closed for a month and hospitals are delaying surgeries to deal with exponential growth of Covid-19. Belgium’s infection rate is second highest in EU after Czech Republic and cases have doubled in a month to over 222,000, however the deaths stood far higher than its neighbor Germany.

I'm offended he used the word 'tsunami' because it's a Japanese word, implying the mass of infections came from Asia. /s

I believe Belgium had a spike at the begining of the spread of covid which I think is due to our elderly people left to die in their nursing homes, they were refused by the hospitals and given morphine to ease the pain.
