Sudan to pay $335 million and be removed from US list of sponsors of terrorism

Washington will remove Sudan from a terrorism blacklist once the country pays $335 million in compensation for its alleged role in the 1998 bombing of two US embassies in East Africa by al-Qaida. Donald Trump tweeted the news of the deal Monday. ’Once deposited, I will lift Sudan from the State Sponsors of Terrorism list.’ he tweeted. There are also reports of talks for Sudan to recognize Israel.
