Supreme Court allows extra time for some Pennsylvania ballots

The Supreme Court said Monday that election officials in Pennsylvania can count absentee ballots received as late as the Friday after Election Day. In its ruling, the court said that ballots could be counted as long as they were mailed by Election Day. Before this year, the state required absentee ballots to be received by Election Day.

No vote should be rejected as long as it is post marked on or before the election.

This honestly seems reasonable to me, requiring that the ballots be postmarked by the day of the election, but allowing those without a postmark to be counted IF it is reasonably believed they were sent by the proper timeframe.
