Netflix subscriber addition pace slows after surging during lockdown

Netflix added few new subscribers in Q3 2020 than in any other Qtr in the previous four years. This also ends the six months of surge in growth which was primarily driven by Covid-19 shutdowns. Netflix new paid subscribers stood at 2.2 million between Jul & Sept 2020, its smallest quarterly increase since 2016, bringing the company’s total number of subscribers globally to just over 195 million.

I understand filmmakers pushing boundaries but the 'Cuties' thing went WAY too far. I'm all for artistic merit but could find any in this movie therefore I'm not surprised Netflix experiencing a slump in subscriptions...

I don't think it's due to Cuties. It's more likely due to Disney and them making all the shows they bought exclusive to their own platform.

Just wait as old subscriptions time out and aren't renewed. Their reaction of raising price won't help much, either.
