US says breaking up Google may end company’s breach of antitrust laws

The US sued Google, accusing the $1 trillion tech behemoth of illegally using its market muscle to stifle competition and preserve its near-monopoly in online search and advertisements. In the lawsuit, the US Department of Justice said: ’Americans were hurt by Google’s actions,’ and it was seeking ’structural relief as cure.’ ’Structural relief’ in antitrust matters is generally an asset’s sale.

The results of this lawsuit would not only impact the United States but the entire world. Looking forward to the verdict.

Its about time. Google wields too much power and influence for a company. Breaking it up would allow competition: -Google (search engine) -Google Maps (possibly) -Google Drive -YouTube -Android Next go after Disney. Amazon and Twitter and Facebook would be nice but I am not sure how you would break those up.
