Arctic warming is triggering permafrost melting and future collapse

Buried in frozen soil across the Arctic, billions of tons of carbon lies trapped in the ground. Just a few degrees of warming could unleash it into the atmosphere. New science suggest that this can occur at an earlier stage than we thought before.

Looks like we are in for a really really bad treat if this will happen! All the old mammut virus and shit will pop up and all the super strong metan will accelerate global warming. Double trouble!!

I remember hearing dire warnings about this in the late 80s and early 1990s. "By the year 2000," we were told, "the permafrost will have melted, releasing catastrophic amounts of methane and frozen viruses into the atmosphere, possibly ending all life on earth!" Well here we are in 2020 and it's the same routine. Fool me once.
