Judge maintains second- degree murder charge against cop in George Floyd’s death

A judge dropped the third-degree murder charge against former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin in connection to the death of George Floyd. However, the second-degree murder and manslaughter charge against Chauvin remain. The judge also retained the charges against the other three officers present when Chauvin was seen in a video pressing his knee against Floyd’s neck before his death.

Not sure how any murder charge will stick given the definition of murder and the mountain of evidence in this case against such charges. Manslaughter looks difficult to prosecute let alone murder. These guys will walk due to overzealous charges. This case looks more like a duty to render aid situation. He was having a medical emergency and no aid was rendered until it was too late. Even that would be hard to prove because you would have to show that the officers knew he was having a medical episode. His behavior was an indicator, but you would have to be trained in what fentanyl overdoses look like.

To try to://youtu.be/bYJTF-bb1jc Full Cam Footage including EMT regarding George floyd. All the officers in the case should have their charges dropped they did everything in their power to try to restrain George Floyd but he resisted every step of the way. When officers are dealing with some of erratic they have to think about their own safety because someone on PCP can Rampage with what seems like inhuman strength. George Floyd was with two other people and they are both fine because they were compliant with the police. George Floyd would still be alive if he made better choices.

Floyd was overdosing and had a 90% blockage to his heart. He was foaming at the mouth complaining about not being able to breathe before the police even had him on the ground. He actually asked to be put on the ground, refusing to sit in the car.

Impossible for any murder charge to stick a hail mary pass would be wrongful death at the very best due to the fact for 20 minutes the cops never said anything racist while he was resisting and obviously Oding. Floyd threw himself on the ground and not the officers. Watch the entire video beginning to end

If any of these officers get convicted of any form of murder, it will be 100% politically motivated.

More nonsense. Floyd was overdosing and had covid...NUFF SAID! The media and the marxists just love pushing these lies.

Oops. Should have gone with a lesser, more reasonable conviction attempt.

What a crap headline. The more serious charge remains, but the idiots burning things down in "peaceful protest" won't have it read to them that far.

There are good cops and there are bad cops. This is a bad, racist, killer with a badge and a uniform. May God have mercy on him. God is not racist or corrupt like our current justice system. Vote.

Don't blame the courts, blame the Minnesota Attorney General who changed the charges that could have easily been proven and would get Chauvin convicted to charges like this that had no way of getting him convicted. The AG just did it to make himself look good to his constituents in the moment.
