Trump considering declaring Amnesty, Oxfam and other NGOs as anti-Semitic

The Trump administration is considering labeling global humanitarian organizations, including Oxfam, Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, as anti-Semitic because they have documented Israeli rights abuses against Palestinians, including settlement building in the occupied territories. PM Netanyahu has long complained that scrutiny of Israel’s HR record regarding Palestinians is biased.

Something that needs to be highlights here (as one of the links carries it) In response to the anticipated announcement, T’ruah, a rabbinic human-rights organization that represents more than 2,000 rabbis, said: “Any US government declaration that these groups are antisemitic for criticizing the Israeli government is ridiculous, and contributes to the silencing of Israel’s human rights defenders.” “The Trump administration’s smear of these three human rights organizations is yet one more example of this administration’s disregard for democracy and human rights at home and abroad,” T’ruah executive director Rabbi Jill Jacobs said.

Telling the truth isn't racist or antisemitic. Every country that engages in warfare inevitably commits human rights violations. No country that fields an army in foreign lands against the local's independent will is innocent of this charge. War is the ultimate rejection of a people's human rights.

I am right wing, but criticism of Israel isn't antisemitism nor should it be considered as such. I'm sure a lot of eight wingers will disagree, but, I find it too easy to abuse. This statement has nothing to do with the validity or disagreement with the state of Israel. Don't bring it up.
