Gap to exit from malls, to close 350 stores by 2024

Gap is looking to exit from the nation’s malls. The retailer, which has been in decades running from shopping malls confirmed that it will be shutting 220 of its namesake Gap stores - or one-third of its store base - by 2024. This would result in 80% of its remaining Gap stores being in off-mall locations. Additionally Gap also plans to close 130 of its Banana Republic stores in NA in three years.
