UK signs new trade deal with Japan, its first after Brexit

UK and Japan officially signed a trade agreement on Fri., marking UK’s first big post-Brexit deal on trade, as it continues to tussle to agree on a deal with EU union. This is the first new free trade deal to be agreed since UK became an independent nation. UK said the deal meant 99% of its exports to Japan would be tariff-free which could help boost trade by $19.9bn compared with 2018.

This is good, it can show other countries that want to leave the union that it's not all doom and gloom. Keep the trade deals coming!

Yep, a deal worth 0.07% to the UK's GDP is great?

America and Canada shouldn't be too far behind along with Norway and Switzerland. Add to that the benefits of self sufficiency and the ability to eventually put to good use locally the moneies sent to Brussels, I say it's a good start.

How many of you people commenting on Brexit ACTUALLY understand it? The UK making a small trade deal with Japan isn't that great. In fact, it restricts the UK more than the deal the UK had with the EU. Do your homework people and realize the UK is now in a worse position than they were before...
