US home prices jump at fastest pace in more than 15 years

According to ABC News ’U.S. home prices soared in April at the fastest pace since 2005 as potential buyers bid up prices on a limited supply of available properties. The S and P CoreLogic Case-Shiller 20-city home price index, released Tuesday, jumped nearly 15% in April from the previous year. That is up from a 13.4% annual gain in March.’

Sounds like major inflation and some scummy companies buying up houses by over paying and raising the “value”.

All Biden supporters: tell me how this is a sign of a robust economy and not a collapsing currency.

And we wonder why all of these kids want to be commies. If you don't already own a home, you're getting pushed out of the market. Capitalism has failed them miserably.

Inflation is and will clearly be THE major problem for Americans. Worse than any tax . I have seen 40 pct inflation in the last 6,7 months on construction materials, food stuff and other products. A 50 lb bag of feed corn is going for more than $10 now - it was 7 bucks a few months ago. Gas and energy prices through the roof, state n local property tax valuations (hence taxes) also rising . NO WAY does income and especially retirement ss fixed income keep up with such increases. Not even close. Retired people and middle class people on a salary will pay a huge price - far worse than any tax. All this can be placed at the feet of Biden and the Dems as " free money" and the expectation of same, flooding the market with cash (Fed) and policies that raise American costs (ie anti fossil fuel energy policies) and devalue the dollar while raising oil prices are doing IRREPERABLE HARM to the nation and its middle class. And we are only 6 months into Biden rule. Good thing home prices going up as some people will need to sell their houses so they can eat if this keeps up. Especially those on fixed income. This is a disaster rolling out in front of our eyes like a coming tsunami wave. Trump will be saying soon- if not already- " how do you like me now"?

I picked the worst time to start looking for a house. Now I find myself hoping for another collapse in the real estate market so I can actually get a house at something close to its true value.

Hard to compete for a house as a first time homebuyer against BlackRock with a cash offer 20 percent above asking price looking to become the nation's landlord.

Leave it to the biden/ harris duo to raise the price on available homes. Let me guess 300 grand is the low end and is extremely cheap when it comes to owning a home. College kids better invest in shacks these days with those kind of prices.

But didn't tons of people die of the ccp virus plague, shouldn't there be an overabundance of houses if so many huge masses supposedly died. "I am confusion!" (sarcasm)
