El Paso residents ordered to shelter at home as Covid-19 cases surge

El Paso, Texas has been placed under curfew and residents have been ordered to shelter at home for at least two weeks after a huge surge in coronavirus cases. El Paso, which is about two miles from the Mexico border, saw hospitals flood with new Covid-19 patients. The shelter-at-home order forces bars that don’t also serve as restaurants to close and bans all outdoor gatherings of more than 10.
