France enhances security after teacher’s beheading and subsequent fallout

France said it was beefing up security around religious sites as it faces a ’very high’ risk of terror threats after the beheading of a teacher who showed his class cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, the subsequent French government’s reaction to it and its geopolitical fallout. French President Emmanuel Macron said those toons were protected under freedom of speech, which angered Muslim countries.

Didn't expect Macron would be this firm on this issue, a welcome surprise. Not surprised by response from countries with Muslim majority though. At least some are against lynching, lets hope that's where the future leads.
