Coronavirus may age some patients’ brains by 10 years, claims study

A new study, not yet peer-reviewed, suggests that patients who recover from COVID-19 may suffer from cognitive issues post-infection, particularly those who develop a severe case of the illness. The study analyzed data from 84,285 Great British Intelligence Test participants. For participants who reported being placed on a ventilator, researchers found a 10-year decline in cognitive performance.

I am confused. How did they figure out that cognitive function decreased after covid if they didn't measure it prior to covid? The concept of the study sounds intriguing and needs to be further investigated I think

No study should be touted in media (news or social) unless it is a study confirming the results of a previous experiment.

Use a grain of salt people ... here are other findings from the same British test ... - Cat owners have greater vocabularies than dog owners. - The UK's top problem solvers live in Bristol. - Londoners have the greatest emotional intelligence. - Midlothian in Scotland harbours those with the best verbal abilities.

Lol, And influenza causes brain damage and puts patients in comas. Are we really using rare extreme cases to fear monger now? I really wish the average IQ of humans wasn't so close to that of a potato. There shouldn't be a single person that takes this seriously.

Oh this is some corona-scare bull. Next thing you know, they will claim that COVID-19 has taken the place of Small Pox in terms of disease and deadliness.
