Hospitals across 38 states report surge in Covid-19 patients

Thirty-eight states have reported a sharp increase in the number of patients hospitalized with Covid-19 compared to two weeks ago. The virus is now spreading faster than ever in the US, with the highest one-week average of new cases since the pandemic began. Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas are the worst hit, where hospitals are on the brink with new patients.
