Michigan judge allows carrying arms openly at polling booths on Election Day

A Michigan judge has ruled that voters can openly carry firearms at most polling places on Election Day. The state instructed local clerks to ban the open carry of guns at all polling places on November 3, but a group of Michigan gun groups sued to nullify it. However, the ban on open carry remains at certain buildings, including churches by state law. The state plans to appeal the ruling.

Great! Open carry should not be illegal, even in churches. There is no reason to prevent people from practicing a Constitutiomally protected right, whether it is the 2A or the 1A.

If you came into my house you would have to leave your gun outside and God has the same rule for his house. (Being a house of prayer!) I'm just surprised anyone agrees to you entering their premises with a gun! Especially if alcohol is served. Your rights don't trump mine however much you protest.

Oh, sure. No voter intimidation by the Right here. Just terrorists using terror to keep Democrats from voting.

So, the judge simply upheld the outstanding law that was precedent.
