Qualtrics CEO Ryan Smith buys Utah Jazz for $1.66 billion

Qualtrics CEO and co-founder Ryan Smith announced plans to buy a majority stake in the Utah Jazz basketball team. Reports said the deal is worth $1.66 billion. The deal also includes the arena and Utah’s G League team, which is the first sale of an NBA franchise since the coronavirus pandemic hit the US. The last ownership change in NBA was in 2019, in which Brooklyn Nets sold for $3.2 billion.
