Texas train derails, spills chemicals, snaps power, triggers evacuations

A Kansas City Southern train carrying ’petroleum and corrosive chemicals’ derailed in Mauriceville, Texas, near the Louisiana border. Authorities said the accident involved 25 cars, 15 of which were loaded. It tripped a power line causing an outage in the nearby areas. Authorities said the derailed cars were spilling their loads, forcing an evacuation of 600 people in a one-mile ’exclusion zone.’

Can or will any of you pull your heads out of your butts and leave politics out of this. This has absolutely nothing to do with politics and everything to do with corporate greed. Pray for the families in the affected areas and hope that none of that stuff poison the groundwater or have any lasting effects on the community affected

What a tragedy, train companies should not be allowed to have such dangerous devices! Chemicals should never be carried on trains. We need common sense train control NOW! Moms Demand Traction!
