Panel says Australia must start preparing for climate change, bushfires

A commission that probed into Australia’s bushfire disaster last summer has made 80 wide-reaching recommendations for country. This includes a new law to allow the prime minister to declare a national state of emergency. The panel warned natural disasters would become ’more complex, more unpredictable, and more difficult to manage’ with climate change and the country must start preparing now.
