’This is absolutely unacceptable,’ says Beshear on KSP training presentation

A report revealed that a Kentucky State Police training quoted Adolf Hitler thrice in their slideshow, promoting the officers to be ’ruthless.’ Further on, one of the slides titled ’Violence of Action’ preaches the ideology of ’meeting violence with greater violence’. Gov. Andy Beshear reacted to the same via an email statement labelling the practice ’unacceptable.’

So I haven’t seen the slides myself but biased on the story it looks like these Hitler quotes were used as examples of what mentality bad guys might have. As the only example I saw was a quote from Mein Kampf talking about success being achieved via constant violence, which does not seem to be a police mindset. The police also indicated that training/slideshow was taken out of service 7 years ago. So from what I can gather this is foe outrage designed to dehumanize police.

It hasn't been used in 7 years. Meaning the problem was corrected by the system and this isn't even news.

This is the continuous problem with policing in America. People that continuously scoarch the left for pushing to reform not get rid of all police can’t understand that racism is the foundation of our criminal justice system. Reforming the police specifically targets issues like this where entire police departments need to be retrained to deal with systematic racial injustice that has plagued this nation since its birth. We can admit our 1st sin as Americans or we can actually take action to truly overcome as a people.

More media bias..... Hitler made many many quotes, including "who are you to say I'm not doing GOD'S will"..... history repeats itself over and over....as for the media if a couple of high school kids discovered this..... where was the "real media," laugh

So none of you read the material? The quote is not only acceptable, it's necessary. A bad man said bad things. We wont get any smarter by erasing the past. Its and anti violence training slide for crying out loud. Wake up you sheep.

Mutatis below gave a link to the material. I must say i was most distressed by the references in later stories to police as warriors and the theory of killology. Police are not warriors, they are public servants sworn to protect all of their fellow citizens. The military are our warriors, sworn to defend the country. And killology? Considering that police work in our different districts to preserve law and order, somehow the thought of describing their work as killology does now seem appropriate. PRESERVE law and order, not killing.
