Australia has recorded its first day of zero local cases of COVID-19 in almost five months. Victoria, which has been an epicentre of Australia’s second wave, recorded nil cases for the second day in a row after a 112-day lockdown. Health officials warn that more restrictions may be eased in the coming days. The country has recorded 27,500 infections and 900 deaths since the pandemic started.
I can partially believe it. I live in Australia, and Queensland shut its borders the earliest. NSW and Victoria were the slowest to act. Queensland hasn't had any new cases in a while because of it.
As soon as they open they will get new cases. It's endemic.
Better stay closed up or you will just get new cases.

And at what cost? I am in Melbourne, come at me.
Good job Australia. If only America had reacted as well and the citizens take it as seriously. There were very few if any real anti masker protests it seems. Glad the folks there are mostly sensible. Hopefully no 3rd wave for the Aussies.
