FIC Restaurants, the parent company of Friendly’s, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The company will sell substantially all of its assets to Amici Partners for nearly $2M. FIC estimated in its bankruptcy filing that its assets were worth $1M to $10M. Friendly’s is asking for the bankruptcy court to approve of the sale in mid-December.
Nooooooo! I love that place!
I gained 20 pounds working at a Friendly's for three months. I don't need to explain how.
Saw that coming. Too bad, I actually enjoyed my now long closed local one. I think this would have happened even without covid. They have disappeared from my area for years. Closest one time now is a 40 min drive.
I didn't even know they were still around..I haven't seen one in MI in years. Good memories of taking HS dates there though.
Never even heard of it. Wont be missed. Sorry, not sorry.
What? They have been around forever. Thank you for the good service.
It is official...2020 can suck it.
I'm not even American but I went there once on a visit and it was really nice. Shame.
This just sucks on so many levels. Thanks for nothing, 2020.
Went there once. I don't miss the burnt eggs and gray burnt coffee
What a shame. I had so many good childhood memories going out to Friendly's whenever I visited my Grandma in NYC.
