40% of Amazon rainforest under threat, at tipping point of becoming savannah

Scientists reported that as much as 40 percent of the Amazon rainforest is at risk of becoming grassy savannah if climate change rates continue. The study, which was published in the journal Nature Communications, found that 40 percent of the rainforest is at a ’tipping point’, where it could exist in either state, as savannah, or rainforest.

It is sad, if we can't exploit it slowlier than the forest is regenerated. We should stop it for a time.
