Third term won by Ivory Coast President in disputed vote

Ivory Coast President Alassane Ouattara overwhelmingly won a third term in office according to the country’s electoral commission. The elections have been boycotted by his two main opponents as they called his candidacy illegal as he ran despite there being a 2-term limit. Tensions have been mounting in the country, and a news conference held by the opposition was broken up by security forces.
