Pregnant women at higher risk to COVID-19

Research shows that pregnant women are more likely to suffer severe symptoms and death than women of a similar age who are not pregnant. It also found COVID-19 increased the frequency of preterm delivery. Since the risks of COVID to women of child-bearing age overall are relatively low, these are not major severe problems.
