Jair Bolsonaro’s videos pulled by YouTube for COVID-19 misinformation

YouTube announced that videos of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro had been removed from his channel, with the platform accusing him for spreading misinformation about the COVID-19 outbreak. The far-right former army captain has won widespread criticism for railing against lockdowns, touting unproven miracle cures, sowing vaccine doubts and shunning masks.

The first amendment is more than a piece of literature. It is a philosophical edict that needs to be interpreted as widely as possible. Free expression and free listening are human rights, they are above any law.

Just my opinion, but YouTube is behaving like they are the ones pulling the puppet strings of many people in high or prominent places. YouTube believes they are the only adult in the room and only their views are the right ones. If all of what they claim is a falsehood, it'd be easy to correct by simply showing where the other person is specifically incorrect. The truth has nothing to fear, but YouTube's behavior is one where they act out of fear, self-rightousness, and because their sheer size makes them a formidable entity, wielding power sufficient to alter society as they wish. This is a very bad monopoly of power, and it's been demonstrated they and our Democrat controlled government are working as one against anyone who is not saying only what they approve.

Can we not have people writing news summaries that input their own political biases? Sometimes I think I'm reading the New York Times.

So big tech is openly censoring another world leader? Shocker. I'm curious to see when the leaders decide to put the foot down. When geriatric Joe drops out and evil Queen Kamala takes power things may get real. She's openly admitted to bending and twisting the law to her advantage. Wouldn't take much to get on her bad side.
