US sets record for Covid-19 cases as new infections tops 100,000 in a day
The US registered more than 100,000 new Covid-19 infections on Wednesday, which is a new record. Over 1,100 deaths have also been linked to coronavirus during the time. According to Covid Tracking Project, the rise in figures are not just because of increased testing as there had been a sharp rise in hospitalizations as well. The US now has recorded over 9.5 million Covid cases and 233,000 deaths.
