New rules are set to be announced by the EU for big tech with the rules being implemented to ensure competitors have an equal opportunity against the big firms. Concerns about the upcoming rules have already been voiced by Google. In the short term, nothing can be done regarding the rules other than lobbying according to Thomas Vinje of Clifford Chance.

From CNBC article, EU wants to pass law that forces transparency on ads and suggestions provided by service (why are both shown and who is paying for ad). Did I miss something beyond this?
