Harris’s ancestral India village gets into festive mood as Biden leads Trump
Thulasendrapuram village, which is about 320km from Chennai, the capital of the India’s Tamil Nadu state, entered festive mood as results of the US election projected a Joe Biden win. The village is where Biden’s running mate Kamala Harris’s maternal grandfather was born. Villagers painted slogans on roads and pasted Harris’s posters on walls, while many were glued to their mobiles for updates.
Why the F are those people celebrating? Kamala is American, and these people celebrating for her is like taking Pride in a neighbor who can all of a sudden, cook the best Currys.
African American simply means not full blooded African. You know them slave owners loved their little black girls. So being black and Indian shouldn't be that much different.
