WHO-led Covid plan drops remdesivir, bets big on antibodies, steroids: Report
A World Health Organization-led scheme to supply coronavirus drugs to poor countries is focusing on monoclonal antibody treatments and steroids but has surprisingly dropped Gilead’s remdesivir, a Reuters report said. It says the priorities are to secure monoclonal antibodies and to push buying of cheap steroid dexamethasone, of which it has already booked about 3 million courses for poor nations.
