Michigan secretary of state urges patience over vote count

Jocelyn Benson, Michigan’s secretary of state, urged voters to have patience as counties tallied thousands of ballots. Speaking at a news conference, Benson said, ’We really want to respect the process and the validation of every ballot because we know how important it is to be meticulous and detail oriented at this moment.’ Over 5 million voted in Michigan, including 3.2 million absentee voters.
