Over $1 billion in bitcoin stolen from Silk Road seized by US government

The US government claimed that it seized over $1 million in bitcoin when it took possession of nearly 69,370 bitcoins on the 3rd of November. The digital assets were reportedly connected to online black market Silk Road. The funds are said to have been stolen back in 2012 or 2013 from the Silk Road by an unnamed person who has been identified as Individual X.
