Neanderthal babies weaning in a similar way to Homo sapiens

Scientists have performed an analysis on three milk teeth from Neanderthal children. These children lived between 70,000 and 45,000 years ago in northern Italy. The conclusions were that solid food was introduced at 5-6 months of age. This is very similar to modern Homo sapiens and give a better idea on what the development was of Neanderthal children which is still being debated.
