Boris Johnson defiant despite UK parliament upper house rejects Brexit bill

Despite the UK’s House of Lords overwhelmingly rejected the Boris Johnson government’s Brexit bill, which seeks to breaks a legally binding Brexit treaty, the government is refusing to withdraw bill. The government acknowledges that the bill violates international law. It has been condemned by many British MPs, including from Johnson’s own party, as well as the EU and US President-elect Joe Biden.
