Brazil halts trials of China’s Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine over ’adverse’ effect

Brazil it had suspended clinical trials of a China-developed novel coronavirus vaccine after an ’adverse incident’ involving a volunteer. The Brazilian health regulator said it took place on October 29 but did not give further details. Sinovac is one of several vaccines in final-stage testing. Late-stage trials for Sinovac are also being carried out in Indonesia and Turkey.

Why would anyone trust a vaccine from China of all places?

All the China bashing, I don’t care where a vaccine comes from as long as it is effective and safe. That’s what will be proven or disproveb in this trials. If there was an “adverse reaction” you need to investigate it to see if it was caused by the vaccine or not. Correlation doesn’t mean causation and with sufficiently big studies you always get somebody getting ill “by chance”. Halting the trial and investigating is the correct thing. We have other vaccine candidates, from Europe, USA or even Russia but we need to be sure that it is both effective and safe for a potential widespread use which so far none has proven.

What a waste. This is just like swine flu scamdemic to sell vaccines. Look up "2010 Forbes article - Why the WHO faked a pandemic to sell vaccines"
