As transition gets underway, Joe Biden takes calls with leaders of UK, France
Joe Biden, the President-elect spoke with foreign leaders and key allies, as he moved ahead with his presidential transition. Speaking with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Biden said he wishes ’to strengthen the special relationship and re-double cooperation on issues of mutual concern.’ Some believe this breaches the Logan Act, which criminalizes foreign negotiations by unauthorized citizens.
Not only is biden engaging in illegal activity by posing as president elect, when he has not beem deemed so, the UK and France are both extremely overstepping their boundaries.
This sets a very bad precedent. How would the UK/French citizens react if the US president called one candidate to anoint him/her before the election is officially over? Waiting would not mean they take sides just that they respect the process
