A grand jury announced that the Indianapolis police officer who fatally shot Dreasjon Reed, 21, won’t face criminal charges. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police officer Dejoure Mercer shot Reed, a black man, during a foot chase on May 6, sparking a string of protests and calls for action against Mercer. His shooting was partially captured live on Facebook.
What could they have charged the officer with? Self- defense? Anyone who saw the video, k ows he did nothing wrong.
I have zero knowledge of this. If a cop shot a black guy and it didn't result in violence, the cop was black. Deleting if I'm wrong. Reading now.
One thing all sides need to work out is the initial video will often be posted by someone with a specific rabble rousing agenda they pour fuel on he fire. But the match is thrown by the public. Once lit they can't or won't see the rest of the facts for the ideological smoke screen. Since and including George Floyds death there have been multiple media focused articles 5 or 6 here as a tally for UK media at least. All have turned out with a bit of additional research that the instigator was not the police. The one they ignored though for the most part was David Dorn and that was a proper heartbreak.
Awesome! I always wanted a new pair of nikes!. /s
Just wait for the self hating white person to write their take on this, these far leftists will find one way or another to hate on cop.
A real shocker here isn't it. How many times was he shot, 9 or 34?
Also this guy was suspected of shooting at random houses.
It's like the cops WANT the protests to continue.
Are you desensitized yet?
Officer fired in self defense. https://youtu.be/a92XfiEatRo
The cop was obviously a white supremacist. Should’ve gotten life in prison or the death penalty.
Wanna know why mainstream media dont report on this? Look what ethnicity the officer is. Lol media is a joke.
The officer wasn't white enough to be charged with murder.
But of course not!!
The family, based solely on their certainty that their baby could do no wrong, dispute the officer's eyewitness account. Did the officer have bodycam?
My 10 minute research on this yielded the following facts: Deasjon "Sean" Reed was the suspect in a reckless driving incident. He exited the vehicle while live streaming his chase on Facebook. At a certain point, Reed goes down while taser sounds are heard and multiple shots ring out shortly after. Police maintain Reed exchanged fire with the officer before being shot while family claim he didn't. Both the officer and the suspect were black men. The previous fact line is necessary because narrative groups in favor of the victim may tell you the former while omitting the latter.
